Experience the thrill and exhilaration of driving a sports car with Club Sportiva. It enables you to sit behind the wheel of a sports car without owning it. In its fourth year of operation, Club Sportiva is the nation's largest and most established sports car share company with 200 members.
The brainchild of Torbin Fuller, a former employee of Ford Motor Company and Dan Fleming, a technology executive of the Silicon Valley, it came into existence in 2003. They boast a large fleet of sports car, which gives you a wide choice of driving vehicles from the '60s to the current, American and European models. At present they have about 60 cars. Ranging from a Ferrari 308 GTSi Quattrovalve to a Lotus Esprit S4, 20 of their cars are worth over a million dollars.
There are over 200 members in the club. Club members range in age from 33 to 65 and 80% hail from the Bay Area. Members include legendary racer Mario Andretti, NFL Hall of Fame Raider Dave Casper and Apollo 12 astronaut Dick Gordon.
With over 10,000 square feet of space, the clubhouse incorporates a bar, kitchen lounge and meeting facilities. Their extensive garage houses a wide range of cars. The Club Sportiva clubhouse, located on Harrison Street between 4th and 5th streets, is available for rent to large groups wishing to hold private events using their cars as a scenic backdrop surrounding their entertainment program.
