Zeum is a non- profit multimedia arts and technology museum located on the roof top of Yerba Buena Gardens.
Inaugurated in October 1998, it is a boon to kids and adults alike. It houses premier technology studios, interactive activity stations, exhibit galleries, community exhibit space, and a 200- seat theater.
Their goals are to fill young minds with creative zeal. They pride themselves as being the only Bay Area museum where individuals of all ages, backgrounds, communities and learning styles combine hands- on use of animation, digital technology, electronic media, traditional and non- traditional materials, with their soaring imagination to bring to life stories, movies, performances, music, art and more.
Budding talents blossom inside this glittering glass and metal cone. Children are encouraged to help with projects, including stop- action animation, digital photography, new media form and web casting. Admission prices are for youth aged 3- 18; for adults; for students/seniors; free admission for members and children under the age of 2.
You can plan a whole day at the venue and witness your kids unfold their talent, by making use of the museum's equipment. Along with the kids the entire family can enjoy it.
