Xanadu Gallery is a virtual treasure house of priceless art, antiques and jewelry from all over the globe. It came into being in 1979 and has never looked back since then.
It is housed in the historic Frank Lloyd Wright building, just off Union Square. The architecture of the building spells grandeur. Its luminous interior houses a spiral ramp. Climb to the top of the ramp and look down on the building's marvelous interior. It contains a startling collection of tribal arts, and exquisite amber jewels you will not find anywhere else. The gallery contains numerous affordable gifts. Prices start from 0.
Folk Art International Foundation provides a gold mine of resource to educators through its multi- cultural outreach program, Folk Art International Resources for Education. This non- profit program lends masks, puppets, textiles and musical instruments to schools, museums, and art centers in Northern California. The gallery also houses exquisite pieces of jewelry from all over the world. You can unearth magnificent necklaces, bracelets, and earrings in 22K gold from Rajasthan, or in granulated silver from Indonesia. Excavated Neolithic beads of etched carnelian, antique Tibetan coral, rare trade beads, as well as Tuareg, Berber, and tribal jewelry from across North Africa are other attractions.
