Cliff House

Located at 1090 Point Lobos, the western- most point of the GGNRA's historic Sutro district; it has always drawn visitors to San Francisco. A quaint and romantic place dating back to 1900s, it has been transformed to a trendy 21st century restaurant. Its 1900's mahogany décor has been replaced by walls of glass overlooking the Pacific Ocean. The most striking addition is the ultra- modern Sutro Wing, home of Sutro's, which features seafood.
The Cliff House Bistro - situated in the original location - offers more traditional fare and it has a beautiful bar. It is open seven days a week for breakfast, lunch and dinner. At the Bistro, in Sutro's, lunch and dinner will be served. A Champagne Buffet is being offered every Sunday in the Terrace Room.
The glass walls glow crimson as the first rays of the sun falls on it. You can enjoy stunning vistas opening before you. The interior too is tastefully decorated with high ceilings, deco tile while vintage celebrity portraits adorn its walls. Prices are steep but you can try out crumb- crusted crab cakes and pork- stuffed potstickers. A classic cioppino of fresh fish and mollusks is flavored by lumps of onion, celery, and sweet red pepper. Fork- tender braised lamb shank is hearty, paired with heavy mashed potatoes and roasted summer vegetables which gratify your taste buds.
