The success story of this shop began when Carl Paul an established engineer was swept off his feet by the game of golf. As his love affair with the game progressed, he tried his hand at amending golf clubs. He realized that he had discovered an untapped niche in the golf industry — the design and distribution of custom- fit golf club components for golf club repair shops nationwide.

Such was his passion for the game that with the help of his wife Barbara in 1967, he transformed their two bedroom suburban home in New Jersey into a virtual factory.

Golf art, collectibles, ball racks and other decorative accessories bring golf at your doorstep. The shop has grips, head covers, stand and cart bags, towels, caps, belts and watches. Golfsmith not only provides golf items but makes sure that you can learn more about the game and hone your skills. Its golf instruction videos, DVDs, books and software are extremely helpful to a novice.
