Scala's Bistro

Scala's Bistro is a pan Mediterranean restaurant which evokes images of an era gone by. Located just a block from Union Square, it is adjacent to the historic Sir Francis Drake Hotel.

High ceilings with original elaborate design, richly colored floor tiles, a setting inspired by Monet's kitchen, and Scala's Old World atmosphere create a comfortable yet elegant ambiance.

Tempting aromas from Italy, Spain and France drifts in though the semi- open kitchen whetting up your appetite for a lavish meal. If you like goat cheese they have warm bread, goat cheese appetizer, pear, spinach and cesar, the mac and cheese (with Smithfield ham and black truffles, topped with breadcrumbs are other favorites.

After dinner step up to the twenty- first floor, Harry Denton's Starlight Room, for world famous cocktails and a glorious view of the city.
