Exquisite and delicate workmanship in earthy clay as well as shimmering glass are displayed at the Marin Clay and Glass Festival. The festival is organized by the association of Clay and Glass a non- profit group of over 300 artists and supporters centered in the San Francisco Bay area.

From its humble beginning in 1945, this association has stood the test of time. Members of this association are given an opportunity to display their skill and talent at the exhibition.

The Association regularly presents exhibitions of clay and glass, and they currently present two annual Clay and Glass Festivals: in July at the Palo Alto Cultural Center and in November at Fort Mason in San Francisco.

They sponsor as well as promote programs which will benefit the members of the fraternity. They work in collaboration with Craft Emergency Relief Fund, and Potters for Peace. The ACGA also maintains four regional libraries with books and videos available to their members. The annual autumn festival showcases works of startling beauty in clay and glass by famous potters and glass workers. What's more! A visit to the festival will give you a first hand experience of an artist at work – as they create unique masterpieces before your eyes.
