San Francisco Chronicle in Review

It was in year 1865 when the San Francisco Chronicle was founded by brothers Charles and Michael de Young. It was then known as The Daily Dramatic Chronicle. The paper was a success and became the largest circulating newspaper come 1880 throughout the San Francisco area. The newspaper is under the management of the de Young family till they sold it in July 27, 2000 to the Hearts Communications, Inc. Much to the delight of the internet user, the newspaper is also available online which is led by Peter Negulescu and news director Vlae Kershner.

What is the CIE?

The CIE stands for San Francisco Chronicle in Education is a resource center for teachers and students. The CIE educates students in helping them value the newspapers as their source of information and help students in reaching their reading goals.
