SomArts

This is an art gallery devoted to the preservation of artwork. They provide space and equipment to communities and groups who are art lovers, at affordable prices. SomArts operates the South of Market Cultural Center under contract to the San Francisco Art Commission. They are one of four Community Cultural Centers under the supervision of the Community Arts and Education Program with funding from The Hotel Tax Fund.

It provides ample opportunity for local upcoming artists to make use of the venue's multidisciplinary possibilities and showcase their work.

The gallery includes a technical service branch offering stage, sound, lighting and consultation for major street fairs and festivals.

It also lends a helping hand to all, including the neighborhood, cultural groups, art organizations and individual artists.
The Mural Resource Center acts as a platform in bringing artists, the community and City organizations together on mural projects that adds beauty to the San Francisco landscape.
